Many schools teach martial arts watered-down with games, acrobatics, an emphasis on belts, and breaking thin pine boards. But things like board-breaking require no martial arts skill- they're just cheesy gimmicks. These smoke and mirrors are distractions from the fact that real accomplishment is typically absent in these types of programs.

We have a different approach.
We know that kids are capable of learning meaningful skills and enjoying themselves. Its' what we do all the time!

Here is how we do it:

We have martial arts that kids love to do.
Many styles, like karate, require painfully boring repetition in order to develop skills. Our martial arts work differently and you won't find them anywhere else!

We see that kids have great potential.
We don't assume that kids aren't capable of learning and only respond to play. With skilled teaching they can enjoy the full benefits of martial arts.

We provide value.
Even the least expensive classes are a waste of time and money if your child does not develop meaningful skills.


Why we don't need gimmicks:
Well, in a nutshell, because we know how to teach.

I have a B.A. in communication, extensive martial arts training in Japan, learned a quite a few things from raising my own kids, and spent thirty years of teaching everyone else's! 
 
And, I do not teach alone! My wife, Kimberly, with twelve years of martial arts, a degree in education and certification to teach at the secondary education level in Rhode Island, brings a great perspective to our teaching. You won't find any other school better qualified to teach your children.
