If you were attacked by a dog would you drop whatever is in your hands or would you use whatever you could to protect yourself? What if you were attacked by a person?
Weapons are everywhere. The weapons in the dojo represent things that surround you in life. At work, in your car, at home- there are things that can be used to strike, shield, trap or poke.

Many martial arts schools teach weapons but typically the practice is about memorizing choreographed forms rather than practicing self-defense applications. Our method is different. It is about how techniques work rather than how they look.
We provide training in over twenty different weapons. The unique method of Motobu Udundi Kobu-jutsu includes weapons from Okinawa, mainland Japan, and from China.
The weapon skills that you learn at Kodokai come directly from the source. We do not do tournament style weapons forms nor do we use the plastic toy weapons found in many schools. We teach skills that have been handed directly to us from our teachers on Okinawa.
Weapons are currently taught only in private lessons.
