Okinawa is about 1/3 the size of Rhode Island. It is located in the East China Sea, south of the main Japanese islands.
It was once an independent nation known as the Ryukyu Kingdom. During this period the martial art of Motobu Udundi (Palace Hand) was created based upon Chinese and Japanese martial arts. The Kodokai has enjoyed unique access to some extrordinary teachers during our many visits. Everything that you learn in our school comes directly from our experience on the island.
